Joanna Brown
Director

Joanna is a primary trained teacher with over 15 years experience and a strong heritage in teaching. Her father, Eric Wilson, was a pioneering force in New Zealand education – ask her about him! Joanna’s first school was Sunnynook in Auckland, and from there most of her teaching has been in Christchurch.

George and Joanna moved to Whangarei after 25 years in Christchurch and are loving the warm weather, the Growers Market, exploring the beautiful beaches, and uncovering hidden coffee spots.

Norman

Norman is part of Thrive Tuition’s core team – working with George and Joanna since they started in Whangarei. He is our resident high school expert and regularly gets booked out – so get in ahead of time! Norman has over 20 years experience teaching in Christchurch secondary schools as well as four years in England. He taught maths and science specialising in Biology.

His experience as an examination marker makes him an awesome port of call for high schoolers wanting to brush up on exam techniques and get insider knowledge!

Suzette

Suzette is also a Senior Teacher with over 20 years experience at Secondary schools both here in New Zealand and overseas teaching English, Maths and Social Studies.

She also has experience as an examination marker at National level.

As a teacher, she naturally enjoys reading! But also music and the outdoors.
